World class service, pristine slopes and breathtaking scenery. Deer Valley feels elegant yet adventurous

Why it’s awesome

Guest Centric, Every Step of the Way

Deer Valley has a healthy obsession with guest service. The resort is known for its excellent grooming, cutting-edge lift system, and attendants who will even carry your skis to the slopes for you. This level of care and consideration make your ski a trip feel more like a seamless luxury experience.

The resort prides itself on being a ski only destination. This means there are no groups of snowboarders sitting on the trails or single booting the lift lines. Boarders have never been allowed at Deer Valley and this rule does not appear to be changing anytime soon.

All of the mountain lodges at Deer Valley are high quality. The Silver Lake Lodge stands out as a great mid day lunch spot with cafeteria style dining. Options include grill items, pizza, tacos, pho, soups, chilies and freshly baked goods.  If they have chicken sandwiches I recommend you grab one.

Perfectly Designed Ski Runs

Deer Valley traces much of its legacy to ski legend Stein Eriksen, whose innovative mapping of runs along the “fall line” elevates the skiing experience. The fall line is the most direct path downhill. Meaning if you were to place a ball on the mountain, the fall line is path it would roll down. Ski runs along the fall line makes for faster, more efficient runs and ensures your skiing technique feels more natural.

Most of the runs here are immaculately groomed so you can ski the fall line and trust some deep carves in Utah’s “The Greatest Snow on Earth®” The crowds here tend to stay fairly light when compared to other resorts in the area and the lift system is fairly efficient so there is usually low wait times on the mountain.

The Greatest Snow on Earth®

Utah’s trademarked “Greatest Snow on Earth®” slogan isn’t just marketing—it’s science. The powder has a perfect light and dry composition that feels divine to ski through. The state’s unique geography is to thank for its legendary powder. As Pacific storms cross the Sierra Nevada, they lose much of their moisture, leaving lighter, drier snow by the time they reach Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. This low moisture snow is soft, fluffy, and perfect for skiing. The Wasatch Range’s high elevation, cold temperatures, and ideal orientation ensure heavy snowfall and preserve its quality. With consistent storms, dry air, and perfect terrain, Utah’s snow has earned its reputation among skiers and snowboarders worldwide.
