Why it’s awesome
Relaxed Vibes
The entire Beaver Creek here will make you feel cool, calm and collected. This is the place to stay in a luxury lodge and enjoy all of the amenities of the resort without stressing about logistics.
Comfort at Every Turn
Beaver Creek is synonymous with comfort. It’s the kind of resort where small touches make a big difference:
- Afternoon Cookies: Each day at 3 p.m., staff hand out warm cookies at the base—a sweet treat and a memorable tradition.
- Heated Sidewalks in the village ensure you stay cozy while exploring.
- Escalators in the Village whisk you to your next stop without taking a step.
Convenience Without Needing a Car
One of Beaver Creek’s standout features is its interconnected village setup. You can ski or shuttle to the resort’s main village areas—Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead—without a car. There are numerous shuttle options from both the Denver and Eagle Airports. Nearby Avon has a free shuttle and Gondola access to the resort.
- Free Bus System: Hop on to explore nearby grocery stores, restaurants, or even neighboring resorts like Vail.
- Gondola Access: Getting from Avon’s Westin Hotel to the mountain is as easy as riding the Riverfront Express Gondola to the base of the Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift.

Less Crowds
Beaver Creek prides itself on its quieter, family-friendly atmosphere. Unlike its bustling neighbor, Vail, Beaver Creek offers shorter lift lines, less crowded slopes, and a safe, inviting village designed with families in mind. Stroll through the fire-lit village or spend a day exploring family-tailored outdoor adventures.
Incredible Terrain for Every Skill Level
Beginner & Intermediate Heaven
Beaver Creek is renowned for its pristine, beginner-friendly green and blue runs with impeccable grooming. This is one of the few mountains that has beginner terrain at the peak and by far the most beginner friendly EPIC mountain near Denver.

Haymeadow Park
The ideal spot for true beginners, Haymeadow Park features wide, gentle slopes. This is the place ski instructors will take brand new students and is the perfect place to build confidence and find your ski legs.
McCoy Park
McCoy Park, served by the McCoy Park Express Lift, has wide trails and gentle terrain, surrounded by spectacular views. The Eaton Haus lodge at the summit is perfect for a cozy lunch and soak in the scenery. The terrain is beginner but this area is incredibly fun for all levels.
Bachelor Gulch
With intermediate groomers, thrilling mogul runs, and stunning glades, there’s plenty of great terrain. The variety of runs ensures you’ll never get bored, and to top it all off, the Ritz at the base is perfect for unwinding with delicious food and drinks. Be sure to ride Cabin Fever, Cresta, and Little Brave.
Advanced Terrain and Glades
- Grouse Mountain: Grouse Mountain offers expert runs with steep chutes and bowls. The Royal Elk Glades are incredibly fun, especially after a good snow.
- Birds of Prey: Home to the world-class men’s and women’s FIS Ski World Cup, Birds of Prey has challenging terrain with steep pitches, moguls, and glades. The runs are named after, you guessed it, Birds of Prey. Ride Golden Eagle all the way down and duck off the side for some good tree skiing.
- Ripsaw: A must-ride black diamond run on the lower half of Beaver Creek Mountain. Start at the top of the Red Buffalo Express Lift. Enjoy the views and take some photos on your way down to the start of Ripsaw which will take you straight to the Rose Bowl Express Lift.
Beyond Skiing: Activities for the Whole Family
Snowcat Dinners at Mid-Mountain Cabins
For an unforgettable dinner, book a snowcat ride to Beano’s Cabin or Zach’s Cabin. Tucked mid-mountain, these rustic-yet-luxurious cabins pair gourmet meals with a magical setting. Pro tip? Request a seat on the upper level for the most enchanting views.
Ice Skating in Beaver Creek Village
The alpine charm comes alive at the village ice skating rink. Grab the kids and enjoy a spin beneath the twinkle of fairy lights.
